The differential allows you to control the amount of power that flows through your front and rear wheels .
So for instance if say you were setting up an AWD car for drifting you would put more power through your rear wheels ,This helps your car keep the rear end out when your sliding ..,Between 55% to 65% works well depending on the weight and power of your car.
