So other countries have super strict gun laws but still have gun crime, seems legit. Until gun crime says "zero" in every one of those countries, there really is no argument to be made. Mexico has very strict gun laws, but is one of the worst countries in the world, that also doesn't help the argument. It's also bad since Mexico is our border so guns will still get in very rapidly but will end up in the wrong hands via black markets. Guns kill to save more lives than they do to kill innocent people in America. I see zero argument against guns. I was 50-50 on this, but was leaning towards guns because of our Constitution. Now it's clear to me that the guns need to stay at the same restrictions they are at today. The guns were put into the Constitution to protect ourselves from corrupt government. THAT is the main reason. I am happy we haven't needed them yet, but you never know about the future. I mean, it is the government trying to take them away. That puts up a nice red flag in my book.

It's too late to get rid of guns now, and stricter gun laws won't do anything. All these guns are taken from people who got them legally, or bought them illegally.

What NEEDS to happen is increased mental health facilities, and more armed people. You never hear about a gunman being shot dead before he kills anyone, do you? Well it happens just as much if not more than these sandy hook type stories, just the media doesn't find it interesting.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

If we had no guns it would just make things worse for the US.

Dafuq are you talking about? I live next to the most trigger-happy nation in the world, and nothing bad has happened to us.

The fact is, less guns equal less gun crime and murder. Also, in general, the removal of guns lowers crime, and murder in general. Not always, but the vast majority of the time, it does.

But this is the united states your talking about. Over half of all americans own firearms so criminals can always steal them. Also the meaning of the second amendment is so that incase the government get's to crazy we can defend ourselfs from them.

I don't care if you own a hunting rifle, but anything specifically used for killing people is unnecessary.

The Amendment was originally made when America didn't even have an Army and was mostly reliant on Militia.

Again, what are the logical reasons to own a gun?

From the government? Seriously, I think your paranoid. Speak to a psychiatrist. With all of the balances inside of the government, for anyone to go insane with power wouldn't work incredibly well.

I fail to see any reason to own any type of Assault Rifle, maybe a hand gun.
