We are only the most likely target for an attack, whether it be bombs or a countrywide invasion.

Yes USA might be the most likely target but i dont think a country would just nuke them as USA's allies would nuke them back as a retaliation and everyone would just go to war then

It would be pretty hard to tell who did it. Just point fingers, and the whole world go's at it.

I dont think it would be that hard as the country would probably own up to it if not then go to the one with the most hate on USA then

Diaboli wrote Well russia had the Tsaa bomb, which was equivalent to 57 megatonnes of TNT.

Tsar Bomba*.

It was 50 megatons but was still 1.4% the power output of the Sun, so saying it was a powerful explosion is a mighty understatement, haha.

Strange how Google searching for the most powerful Nukes in working condition today are only around 25MT.

Although this is still incredibly powerful and enough to level an entire city, you would think they would only go up from the 50MT of the Tsar Bomba? not down...

Yes but that was a while after the Tsar bomba was tested.

It only took 15 months to build it, so I can't see them not making equal or more powerful bombs in the time between the test and the agreement?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Surely they would've thought "wow, this shows great potential" and then created some more and even tried to make them more powerful as the technology progressed over the next few years?

I just don't see how the technology can go from 50MT to 25MT over 50 years.
The only technology in which we go backwards and it is a war technology?

Yes there is something more powerful than a nuclear explosion. Its called a Hydrogen bomb, or simply a
H-Bomb. It works the exact opposite of a nuke, instead of nuclear fusion, it uses nuclear fission. Its said to be 100x more powerful than a nuke.

Well it's said if you had a satellite or the (angel of descent) a high point satellite that could fire a steel rod into the earth it would cause an earthquake larger then any nuclear bomb we have I'm existence today? So it makes you think about the physics behind it would have to be beyond einsteins knowledge and by that reference I mean he was a very knowledgable person in his area so a person who's knowledgable I'm physics would have to surpass even that. As I said it's supposed it can cause destruction to a whole country size of the United States, very scary
