Solved, somehow the diode came unsoldered and I didn't see that until I removed the electrical tape.. Weird that it just happened to do that at that exact moment..

I want to start off by saying that I'm not a noob at this, but am really hoping for whatever reason this is a noobish mistake... So I found my old Gentoo Linux disc while cleaning up and wanted to see if it still worked on my jtag. I booted Xell up, allowed it to run and got all the way up to running it, then it froze up. I found it weird, so I restarted the xbox and when I did the fans spun up fast like they do when the NAND gets deleted. It had the 3 RROD error code 0022 supporting my NAND issue theory. So I'm stumped at this point, decided to unplug it and take it upstairs to reflash the nand with a backup I had. Plugged it in, won't power on. The LED on the power brick is orange, so I don't think there is a short anywhere on the motherboard.

I have a Cygnos installed on this console, and the only thing I can think of is that it somehow is trying to boot into the NAND on the cygnos for whatever reason. It never had this issue before, and because this Jasper has the 512 MB NAND I removed the switch on the cygnos because I cannot use it's dual nand feature.. And my computer is not detecting the cygnos when I plug it in in an attempt to reflash the nand that way. I have a squirt glitch chip laying around that I will try to hook up and see if I can reflash the nand that way, but I'm not expecting promising results.

So, does anyone have ANY suggestions? Because I am beyond stumped as to how linux **** this xbox up, especially since it worked fine in the past...

can you load up xell? sounds like you will need to reflash.

The xbox doesn't turn on.. But I am hoping this is a nand error, but since I'm a University student going back to campus today I don't have enough time to try and reflash it before I leave :sleepy: Either that or I need to remove the cygnos.. When I'm back home I'll update this thread.

+rep for a suggestion though.
