windows 8- all images for icons are brokenPosted:

right ok so all my images for my icons are broke. example when you right click a tile (in start) and the bottom option menu comes up with unpin etc. well all the images for the icons are broke there.also on mail, store, skydrive and more. it is almost like my image folder has gone missing or something but i have not touched it, not even sure where it is. +rep for a answer that helps me out

are they pulling from the right directory or have you maybe while not meaning to moved or deleted the linking directory from the predefined path?

From what i have read try re installing your graphic crad drivers and restart and i should fix them.

Restarts do not help I will try graphics drivers in the morning if not i will ring Microsoft maybe they can shed some light on this situation

Well I have not deleted them I checked my virus scanner and that said it had deleted nothing.

might want to give the command SFC /scannow a try.

Still no joy on this gonna run another virus check and then contact Microsoft tomorrow

Virus check bought up nothing any other ideas
