i just ordered and ipod sync cable for 2G and as soon i tryed it its did not charge or connect to pc. no matter how many positions it tried, it still did not work. I rebooted it, charged it to full with my other one that cant detect on my pc. But i think i know the problem but my guess is my other one when i first got the ipod it was white instead of black. the ordered one looks exactly the same and the very old one but different color. Is there a soloution to this. I will give u max rep 5x.

Just make sure its a cable that charges and does data transfers.

It could be the actually port in the iPod that doesn't work.
