Hey I guys i'm currently looking for parts to build my gaming pc. I am wondering if I need to buy a SSD right away. I am getting a 500GB Hard drive. I repeat this is going to be a gaming pc. I am just looking to save a little money.
CPU- Ivy Bridge i5 3570K
GPU- XFX Double D Radeon HD 7850 2GB

The main point I and most people get a ssd is to increase boot-up speed which means you need to install your OS to it (windows 7 for example) so yes you will need it from the start unless you want to reinstall the os to the sad when you buy it at a later date

An SSD will have very little effect on game performance and the improvements would not be in terms of FPS. If you have a game stored on an SSD, it would just load much faster, but honestly it's pointless to put most games on an SSD.
What you should be doing is getting a locked i5 instead of the 3570K so you can spend more on the graphics card since it's for gaming.
