On Xbox I am constantly on a 1 bar connection, maybe 2 if I'm lucky, it all started after I was playing with an American team funnily from ttg, and ever since then I am constantly on a 1 bar connection, how can I resolve this??

1) Disconnect your Xbox from the internet router it uses. Switch off your router from the mains socket. Keep it switched of for 15 - 20 seconds. Switch it back on, reconnect the Xbox and then test connection.
2) If this does nothing then it is your internet provider, which you would need to contact yourself. I know for a fact that virgin internet are doing a load of maintenance work, therefore it may be that or them interfering with other companies internet routes.
