Air Field on world at war took place in Japan, but Nacht Der Untoten itself took place in Germany. With all the teleporting, isn't it just possible that Nacht itself was teleported to California? We've been from Shi No Numa, in Japan, to an area near Breslau, in Germany, to a theatre in Germany, to Russia, then to Himalayas then to the Moon. So how farfetch'd is it to say Nacht was teleported? Japan isn't related to TranZit in any way, shape or form.

When you are choosing Tranzit it is located in the South West corner of MURICA'. (California, Nevada, Arizona)
