That choice of words to rhyme is mainly what you want to avoid.
Use real words and emotion.. Do not talk about peelin a cap in 3 dudes then speeding off in a ferrari... that is simply idiotic and makes you sound just like the next person.

Be real with yourself and write down whatever you are feeling at the moment. Fix it up and rhyme it later.

An example of.. lets say a person who dislikes the current hip hop industry

"Sweet and Sadistic
style so reminiscent
of days when music wasnt halfassed and simplistic
it wasnt about the money and who you hittin the strip with
but more about the flows make sure that they feel it"

Something along those lines,NOT..

"POP POP POP
I let off 3 shots
Got my Glocc
Its Hot.. uhh yeahh"

You will look like this guy if you are tipsy and rap like mentioned above

Your Supposed to rap about you and let your emotions out in your music. Example if your mad, sad, or angry music helps you let out what you might not necessarily say to someone. Let out your problems with music it helps a lot and don't rap about something you don't know about or don't do. You don't need to swear when your rapping to be cool also so if that's not you don't do it.
