This is going to sound funny to a lot of people. I have a SLIM. The original fan broke. I used a TUT on youtube to strip a USB wiring and wire it to an old PC fan. I added a second fan to that wiring. So I have a USB FAN MOD. I'm currently looking to add LEDs to to my SLIM. I found a few different really cheap LED strips that run on low temp from ebay. They come with a POSITIVE and NEGATIVE wiring attached(obviously). I don't know much on these things as far as needed power sources. I was wondering if I added this to the USB FAN MOD wiring if that would light them up? Can 2 fans, plus a strip of LEDs run off of 1 USB wire plugged into the SLIM's USB port?
Here is the listing of the LEDs I'm going to order

I haven't ordered the LEDs just yet. I wanted some insight before I did so I don't waste my money.

That is what I had done with the USB FAN MOD. I just didn't know if I hooked up the LEDs red and black wires to the exposed wiring on the FAN MOD if the LED would work like that or not.

I know you can solder LED's to a 12v power source on the original 360's not too sure about the slims. + you might overload the usb port as your running a fan and potentially LED's. I've done the USB fan mod too also, I've heard that using usb ports make the xbox hotter so maybe look into soldering fans or use a outsource ( mains plug )

I was thinking the same thing almost. Like running USB extensions to an "old cell phone usb converter piece charger thinger" and plugging into surge protector (extension chord).
I actually changed my mind on this. I'm going to do this all on my PHAT. I also looked into a few different colors to make the PHAT console.
If all goes as wished I'll post a pic for everyone
