So I had something like XP or Vista but I booted my PC and now its Windows 98 or something? Its crazy. Any help? Thanks Guys.

So let me get this straight, you don't even know what operating system you had/have?

There's a big difference between vista and XP. You most likely booted up in safemode, making everything look "old fashioned" like this (don't worry about the red circle, best pic I could find) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If so, turn off your computer and turn it back on normally. If it does it again, then you may have something wrong.

Your theme is just probably 98 I use it with win 7 on a old PC takes less processing power and memory

Right click on the desktop area, click personalize.
Now where it says Aero themes, select windows Vista or whatever you have.
