No, there aren't. Laptops are not capable of playing games on good settings. They're not good anyway, they only have like one 30mm fan, PC's have loads of fans. Laptops will most likely overheat if playing games. You would be best custom building a PC. You will definitely NOT find a laptop to play games on good settings, especially if you're only spending $300.

Far Cry 3 on ultra:

ASUS G75. Yes, that's a laptop. Description states 35-45 FPS which is playable.

I believe that he was trying to state the fact that laptops should not be used for gaming, and why they shouldn't, and failed. Either way, a desktop is the best option, and even if you were to get a laptop for gaming, the batteries on those things suck and run out of rechargeability within a year.

Apologies, I'm tired so I am not wording my points correctly. I was just trying to say that laptops shouldn't be used for gaming, they WILL overheat and are harder to run games well on than desktops. Desktops outrun laptops anyday.

Well, yes.. you can. If you just keep a monitor at your mum's house and one at your dad's then all you ever have to do is carry the case around really, I'm sure you don't walk to their houses so it wouldn't be too much hassle. Fact is, you WILL pay more to get a laptop to run as good as a desktop.

If you're just going to continue to make excusesthat laptops are better, you're clearly set on gettin g a lptop so there is no point in trying to change your mind. Although, I just put together a custom PC build to run games on hight settings and it will cost you $367, I then put together a custom laptop build to run the same as the custom desktop I put together and it would cost you $1,549. That's quite a price difference, don't you think?

You're DEFINITELY not getting a suitable laptop for that price, the best I can do for you is $367. It's a little over your budget but well worth it.
