Ok so if i have mt xbox on and then i want to change hdmi channels per say to watch tv or sonethibg and then go back to the hdmi the xbox is connected to it restarts the xbox... is there any way to stop it restarting ?

Use component HD cables. Just as good as HDMI.

I've never had any luck with it. Try your other HDMI ports on your TV if you have them.. I went through the same thing when using my TV for my computer and Xbox.

I have tried all the HDMI ports but no luck..... i also have the laptop and xbox on the one TV !!!!

I don't know anything else really.. It worked when I switched from HDMI to HD Component cables so that's how I left it.
