gamer649 wroteSnailham wrote yes could be around 5years ;s, but please can someone verify this simple question!! as im sure you lot know alot about this stuff,
Can I buy any ram (1GB,2GB) which has Type 184-Pin DDR SDRAM and it will work with my pc?
thank you people!
Yes, so long as it is the correct pin type, DDR type and correct speed it will work whatever brand it is.
You should also get the same brand or there will be problems, as shown by this thread: Forums/t=4841142/2gb-ram-installe...-help.html

So I bought the exact 2 sticks of ram, put them in all 4 slots are full of 1gb ram each
now my pc doesnt boot, just fans carry on but no BIOS Page, took 1 of the new ram out it boot to BIOS Said overclocking failed?
What should i do, i thought you only have to put the new sticks of ram in?
Please help, should i return them if my pc is not booting up with them?
