There's a difference between violent crime, and homicide crime. America has the highest homicide crime rate out of all the developed countries in the world. Secondly, it's very, very rare someone will come into your house and point a gun at you in the UK. I'll have to check the rate for that, but I sure as hell know it's minimal. Thirdly, half of the things you said I couldn't quite understand as it was very poorly worded.

No. Guns make up 40% of homicides in the US as someone pointed out earlier. That's the majority of homicides committed by someone using a gun.

What would you do, you can't have gun's and if they have a gun you aren't going to run up there and try to hit them, especially if there was like 10 people. If your did country go on a lock down, you would just have to sit back and watch. At that point,the most you could do is pull out a knif, which is going to get you killed.

The point is, it's very rare that people will rob a store with a gun because they're illegal and you can't just go and buy one!

You act like your country is perfect, nothing happens and the sun shines every day. Get back to reality, how much people do you think have guns in the UK? I'm sure it is millions.

How do I act as if the UK is perfect? This topic is a discussion on gun crime, in which, I'm giving my valid point saying that since we banned guns in the UK, the homicide rate has vastly been reduced. Whereas America has the highest gun crime in the developed world. Britain is far from perfect, but it's alot safer than America.

Your tone is kind of annoying. You act like your mad at the situation and it isn't even your country. Maybe if you lived here all your life, you too would understand. Who really wants their rights taken from them? Especially from a president named Barack Hussein Obama?

Ok you can't just go and ban everything that could be used as a weapon for psychotic individuals. The mass shootings that have happened recently have both been from pretty messed up people (Movie theater and Sandy Hook). Kids died, adults died. I'll say it again, we need better security in schools. You don't need to bring up the kids in every response. It was tragic, but it was also done by a severely unstable man who's mom took him out shooting and let him play games like Call of Duty. Those two make guns seem fun and harmless to a guy with severe mental issues. We don't need our rights taken away from us because of this idiotic mother and her crazy son.

If you understood how corrupt our government, police, and other authoritive agencies are, you would know it isn't a tiny chance. We are a superpower and basically the world police because our military is in everyone elses business. We have been in a "war with terror" in the Middle East, but we have never actually declared war since World War 2 (which that is illegal.) We have corrupt police that use excessive force and brutality. Somehow arrested men were managing to shoot themselves while handcuffed and in the back of police car. We have police that arrest people that are having a peaceful, civilized protest (which is also against the Constitution for the police to do so.) America isn't the UK and isn't Australia. Gun crimes aside, things aren't peaceful here. Greed and corruption has swept this country. We being the superpower, it's to be expected. Now, it's the greedy trying to climb the mountain of money and power in the most influential country in the world. China is very corrupt as well, but at least they admit it (they are pretty close to the superpower title.) It's not as tiny as you think. I wish that were the case, but it's not.
