No, believe it or not, there are some people that don't want to own a firearm, ever. Even if I lived in America, I wouldn't want to be associated with guns.

But the problem is, you haven't lived here your whole life! You don't see it the same way as we do. If you did live here, you probably would have some sort of gun.

Once again, I'll refer you back to my previous post. In Britain, the last mass shooting at a school was 40 years ago. We haven't had one since we put a ban in place afterwards. Yes, there's always going to be psychotic murderers out there, but, I'd feel much safer if I knew those phycho's didn't have a gun in their hand (which I do feel safe because I know they can't go to the nearest store and pick up an assault rifle).

Point is, you Americans can sit back and just watch these mass shootings of innocent kids go on and at the end of the day, all you care about are your guns. I mean, how many more shootings of presidents or innocent people will it take before you ban them?

What good is that doing for you guys. Sitting back and watching kids die? And it isnt easy just to get rid of guns, there would be so much more problems.

Ugh, why can't you ignorant people comprehend that if there were no guns, you wouldn't need guns to protect yourselves. Yes, it'll be difficult, but surely that's better in the long run?

What about all the guns that people already own? You think the military is going to rush into millions of peoples homes and find every gun and destroy it? Just the thought scares me. The riots and protests would be insane.. No need to call us ignorant when we are just debating.

I have no idea how the American government would handle banning guns. But they should do it. Blah blah blah it's against my rights. What about those kids who were shot innocently? They HAD rights, and now, because some crazy kid was able to buy a gun at a store, took away their rights.

Okay, I'm going to give you a hypothetical question, say one of your parents, or close relatives was shot dead for NO reason, would you be or against guns? Give me an honest answer.

Yea um I know for a fact a KID did not just walk up into a gun store and buy a gun. He got it from someone. And yea that kind of stuff happens, and I would be pretty upset but we can't just go out and ban every single gun. People die from illegal and legal drugs too, so how do we go about stopping that? All I know is changing the Constitution would make Americans furious. Why don't we just go back to school security, since so many killings are happening at schools now?

Actually, gun show loopholes. You can literally walk up to a guy at a gun show and buy 10 AR-15s without background checks, a drivers license, or proof of residency. All you have to do is show him the money. If drugs were legalized and regulated, there would be less ODs. Patriot Act and NDAA got rid of our 1st amendment. Americans didn't care. So our schools should be more like third world countries? Where your kids can get shot for being kids.

After reading doing a google search about gun show loopholes, I found that regulated gun shows require background checks for gun purchases. You can buy guns illegally from alot of places though. It's the same with any other illegal thing in the U.S.

Fold wrote I think people forget the deeply rooted gangs found in the United States. There is no way that the Latin Kings acquire all of their weapons (if any) legit. Illegal weapons can, and will not be taken off the streets. They are already illegal, so what benefit would taking away any legitimate weapons have?

That may be. But as a neutral party, I'm in favor of a gun-ban. It's worked for other countries, why not the US.

No, but that's like any situation. Yes, majorities are going to disagree, but it'll stop innocent people being shot.

I am sorry for butting in on this conversation. But I do see your point in this. I am an American born citizen. And, at first I never wanted a gun. But after moving down to the state of Kentucky, I realized that having a gun means you can do so much. You can hunt for food, shoot targets for fun, etc. But a gun-ban will do the US no good. If they did ban it, in my opinion, there will be a lot more riots in the US because over 90% of the American population has a gun in there house for safety.

And, in no way am I trying to say you are wrong, and I am right. But I do respect what you said, and it makes a valid point.

Being shot! That doesn't mean they won't be stabbed or blown up....

Thanks. Atleast someone isn't ignorant. It works both ways aswell, I can see positives of having a gun, don't get me wrong, but I think a human life is more important than hunting for buck.

I guarantee you banning guns in the United States will not stop innocent people from dying, or even stop shootings. And if majorities would disagree with the action, why continue with the action?
