With a 12v fan mod and external 80mm fans.
Would be used for about 8 hours a week.

If you only use it for only 8 hours a week it will last for a long time unless something goes wrong with the hardware. I run one of my falcons for an average of 6 hours every time I use is. I left it on for over 12 hours and its still working good, never over heated.

I've never had a problem with Xenon's I actually prefer them over any Original Xbox 360, besides the Jaspers. I use my Xenon heavily about 4-8 hours a day sometimes and it's used for development, reviewing, and testing/debugging. Mine is a November 2005 Model Retail/Jtag.

there are tons of factors that would change the answer but if you were to have an xenon from 2005 and since you opened it had the 12v fans, externals, and changed out the thermal compound as needed, you could make it throught the next gen consoles. It just depends its an electronic device some fail sooner than other buddy had a xenon from 05 no fan mod had it in a small enclosure never changed the thermal paste and it just crapped out on him before christmas. Thats roughly 7 years! So again each case and factor changes the answer

Yea I do the same thing, I make sure it's well cleaned inside once a month with a flashlight and compressed air. I check the temperatures every so often with FSD so I don't have to open it. Also keep it in a well ventilated area.
