Hey i just bought a EVGA GeForce GT 610 2gb and switched it for my EVGA E-GeForce 8800 GT 512mb, the problem is that the new video card which is supposedly better can't run any of my games in high quality with no lag while my old one could. i really need help, if anyone can respond quick it would be great

I personally don't have NVIDIA so I don't know the exact routine. But if you have an Intel CPU it might be running off of the integrated graphics rather than your dedicated graphics. I wish I could help you but I have a 7970 from AMD. I would just Google around a little bit, if nothing hopefully my comment sparks the idea in another readers head. Good luck!

Like Xidol, I also don't know much about Nvidia cards (I have a 7970 too... small world huh?). Anyways, I believe with Nvidia cards you have to deal with drivers? If you didn't uninstall your drivers from the previous card, it can cause conflicts. So, basically what i'm asking is, did you uninstall drivers before putting the new card in?
