thermal paste isnt going to fix 3 or 1 rings, it will only fix 2 rings if your xbox isnt already ruined

the guy above me is wrong. look up the secondary error code for the xbox first. after years of playing thermal paste on the cpu and gpu are most likely always the cause for 1 and 3 red rings, as well as when the old thermal paste starts to make contact with the motherboard it causes problems. 2 red rings is almost always overheating which can be a problem from the thermal paste, but most likely the heatsinks are dust filled and causing the buildup of heat being trapped inside the xbox, especially if it's never been cleaned before. Like i said before, look up the secondary error code to get an accurate view of the problem.

no you are wrong if it is 2 red ring a reball or new thermal past will help and fix, thermal past is not the cause of red ring, but this is right thermal paste isn't going to fix 3 or 1 rings, it will only fix 2 rings if your Xbox is not already ruined, and if you do find the error just look it up. it should tell you how to fix it or what needs to be done to fix it.

i have been repairing Xbox 360's for a long time and thermal past does not fix them in less they have 2 red ring or there so dirty that the fans are not able to pull all the hot air out and then they get red ring how fix that new thermal past and use the $12 thermal past called Artic Silver 5 cost more but worth it in the end. or just get a reball that will fix it.

You can buy Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste on eBay or Radioshack. eBay is probably your best bet.
