what is a dynamic router ? i think you mean a dynamic ip and to reboot the modem in hopes of getting a new ip.If you are infected with a rat it will still be able to connect to the noip even if you change your public ip or reboot all the networking devices. :coffee:

Yes my mistake, I was also only going through the steps I did to get majority of people off my pc when I ran a rsps.

its cool, just wanted to make sure that OP knew rebooting or renewing the modems ip would not help if the popups are caused by someone playing around with a rat. same as with rebooting a router better off running netstat in cmd and finding the port that the malware is using and then blocking it through windows firewall and then blocking the ports in the router as well that way regardless of ip changes the communication is prevented and the maleware can now be removed with out someone hindering the process remotely.
