^^ This is what your first step should be, just contact microsoft, either on their support forums or a phone number will be on their site. If they will take it back and fix it, without you having to open your xbox up then its the best option to take, once you open up an xbox it voids the warranty of it

Nope, your laser's ****, it happened to me. I dealt with it for a few months but after a while it pissed me off so bad I had to get a new one. Then that one broke 6 months later. **** Xbox man, get a PC. Way better.

The same thing happens to me hang on buddy don't buy a new 1 the Xbox 720 will be here soon enough

At radio shack they have a cd with little brushes to clean the lasers, try those and if it doesn't work return it
