>>>Galaxy Note II<<<

It's big but you get used to it like you did from having a flip phone.

-Comes with stylus
-Crazy specs(1.6ghz quad core 2gb ram 720p screen 8mp rear camera 1.9mp front)
-NFC(look on youtube for NFC tag uses)
-LTE
-Huge battery AND great battery life

...I have one and it rocks

-Torres wrote Well i currently have a blackberry and it is honestly the worst phone in the world.

What one shoulld i consider buying? Are there any new ones that are coming out that i can wait for?

Will rep the phone i pick.

Please state why the phone is good.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II on Sprint.

Let me get this out of the way first: I don't have a problem with Sprint, I've never had a problem with Sprint. I've lived in numerous states in various regions, and the coverage has always been phenomenal.
But, of course, this is about the phone, not the network.

Galaxy Note II.
First off, there's the quad-core Exynos processor.
Opposed to almost exclusive dual-core market, this means considerable amounts of extra RAM (I average out 1250MB free at any given time), which also means a faster phone. Seriously, it's quick. I find absolutely no lag in any app, it detects your touch without any hesitation, and runs perfectly. The only time you ever see any lag is when you unlock your phone; most phones take less than a second to unlock, while the Note II takes about a second-1 1/2 seconds. Not a deal breaker.

5.5" screen with Super AMOLED HD display.
The screen itself is bigger than an entire iPhone. Any of them. This makes using an app or browsing the web immensely easier, as you can fit more in the screen. With the new pixel grouping, it also has a high PPI than most phones, making the display more crisp. Colors are bold & vivid, colors contrast perfectly, and puts an iPhone to shame. If the size isn't a problem for you, so far this is your best bet. I wear skinny jeans almost exclusively, and I don't have a problem with it in my pocket, so it isn't as big as you might think.

S-Pen
I thought this would be the best thing ever, but you usually forget about it. It does have a few special properties you can't do with your finger (that's what she said, I know, grow up.), such as cropping anything for a picture, AirView, etc., but isn't going to be used too frequently.

Multi-view
The Note II is the only phone which does this; you can have two separate apps open at the exact same time, on the same screen. That means you could be playing a game on half the screen (or any amount of the screen for that app, you can quickly adjust the size of each app), and have Google Chrome open in the other half. Want to watch a movie & play a game, too? Go for it. I rooted my phone, so I can have unlimited windows open at once (normally you're limited to two), & I managed to have 3 YouTube tabs playing videos as well as 4 saved movies playing simultaneously, WITHOUT ANY LAG. Not practical, I know, but I still can do it

TL;DR

Pros:
-Quad-Core processor
-5.5" Screen
-Super AMOLED HD Display
-S-Pen
-Multi-view

Cons:
-Slight lag unlocking
-Size could be a deal breaker for some
-S-Pen isn't too useful

I've owned quite a few phones in the past & never pledged loyalty to a single brand until I got the Note II. I'll certainly be buying the Note III when it launches.

(Phones I've owned: Samsung Rant, iPhone 4S, HTC EVO, Motorola Droid, LG Optimus, Samsung Galaxy Note II)

Hope this helps you make a decision, best of luck!

Maybe i've just been getting crappy phones lol & i don't know about you, but i'm on a family plan (4 people) & that might be a factor to why Sprint isn't the best for me, not sure.
Apart from that, your evaluation of the phones you listed was pretty good if i do say so myself.

I was on a 4-person family plan as well, but I was in a domestic area at the time. I've since moved on to my own plan in a rural area, so I haven't really noticed any network differences.

& thanks for the +1!
