Before i start i got to say: Just because you have a lot of money for this computer doesn't mean you should spend it all, remember that more expensive isn't always better.


RAM: I suggest getting 8-16 GB of high speed (around 1800 MHz) DDR3 memory because even though you have the money anymore than 16 Gb is a waste of money and honestly 8 GB is more than good.

CASE: For a case i would suggest either one of the cooler master HAF (high air flow) or if you're really going all out you should go for the Cooler Master Cosmos 2 its a huge case with lots of air flow and is very uggradable.

CPU Cooling: since you have quite a bit of money to use definitely go with Liquid cooling. simply go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and enter liquid cpu cooling and be sure to make sure its compatible with your motherboard to do that simply enter the motherboards socket next to liquid cpu cooling( i recommend this site to find your parts because you can enter in key words to find products in the search bar which ncix doesn't offer )

OS: i recommend either Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit or windows 8 professional 64 bit ( you should give windows 8 a chance if you died a little inside when i said windows 8 its actually REALLY good. )


Power Supply: I recommend a 600W-750W Power supply. You're GPU requires a minimum Wattage of 550W so i would go with a 600W-750W if i were you. You may prefer a modular power supply for better cable management and ease of access. I recommend Corsair for the brand.

SSD: Just get an Intel or a Samsung SSD of any storage you want and put games etc on there because they're super fast.

Everything else you've already thought of: Graphics card is amazing, i suggest going with a good manufacturer for superior cooling. CPU/Mobo: im not very familiar with the chip sets but from my research i see that they are quite good. Hard Drive: 2 tb should do you just fine. and the optical drive: if you want blu-ray that's good if not you can save yourself some money by just going with a cheap one or even just ripping one from an old computer.

What are you planning on doing with this build? If it's just for gaming then it's complete overkill. Even if you were rendering/editing I still doubt you will benefit from the 12 threads of the 3930K. The same goes for the RAM, 8GB will be more than enough for gaming. If you will be rendering/editing then grab 16GB. As for frequency, 1600MHz will be enough as you will not see a noticeable difference from higher frequencies.

If you will benfit from the extra threads (video editing, rendering, 3D modeling, autoCAD etc.) then it may be worth getting the 3770K for an extra $100. If it's just for gaming then stick with the 3570K as games do not utilize the extra threads causing you to waste $100.

If you will be going SLI/CrossFireX in the future then you'll want to get the 750W version of the Antec High Current Gamer. I would of recommended the HIVE for your build but I doubt you will be able to get it from the site you order from.

If you will not be overclocking high then you can look at the Enermax ETS-T40-TB for $35. It will be able to give you a nice overclock for a small price. The Phanteks will perform on par, if not better than a H100. If the Phanteks cooler is not available then you can try look for a Noctua NH-D14 for the same price.

If you will be doing work which will utilize CUDA cores then you may want to opt out for the GTX 670 or GTX 680 instead of the 7970. If you will be playing at 1080p then just get the 2GB version of the card as it will not impact gaming performance.

Take suggestions for that build but i would go with a different cou cooler, for 80$ you can get liquid cooling.. For the same amount of money dont go for air cooling. And go for a full tower case vith high air flow that case looks very enclosed and you can do better for the price. The cpu is very good and gaming wont utilize the extra threads that an i7 has to offer but if you want you may still want to consider an i7. If you want a blu-ray player then go with your original choice but if you dont need it go with that one, i have it and it does what it needs to do plus its 20$. For the ssd and hardrive you may want more storage since you originally wanted 4 TB

I dont know about liquid cooling...

I will try windows 8, instead of 7 if you say it is 'good' but i dont know if i will purchase it

That'll run any game on one monitor 1440p ultra 40+ FPS no problem. You could crossfire it to give 3 monitor setup and run games on ultra fine, but you'd need a much more powerful PSU.

The build I've give will run blazing speeds.

3770k will overclock to 4.5Ghz no problem with that board and cooler.

RAM will run at 1866 speeds. And it's very good RAM, some would say overkill, but hey with that budget why not?

You may want to go with diaboli's build but with all ssd space, no mechanical hard drives. That is if you want to spend your whole budget or you could go with one 512Gb ssd and a 3TB mechanical.

The 680 beats the 7970 unless you get a ghz edition which I highly reccommend.

I don't recommend you get the Sabertooth as you will not use the features it comes with. You can get a board such as the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 for $100 less and will do what you need it to do.

The ASRock looks nice, i also saw that you can OC with that if i am not wrong
Maybe i will purchase it but there are also many other Motherboards i can buy
but i dont really know which one is the best for OC
