What is the best program for desktop recording? Like taking a video of your screen. Thanks!

Fraps, Hypercam. Those two work fine. Fraps > Hypercam

G-Eazy wrote Might be to late but try out Camtasia 7, it's great.I find that Camtasia is an obese program. It comes with a million and a half sister programs that you'll probably never use, and it is quite sluggish. I have used Camtasia in the past, as in several years ago (cerca 2009?). I find that the best program for desktop recording is highly underrated and not many people seem to be aware that it exists. It's called Dxtory, very efficient lightweight program that gets the job done very well if I do say so myself. It competes largely with Fraps for gaming recording.
