Hey I'm trying to figure out a way to use a wireless xbox 360 controller to play pc games. Is there a way to use it without buying any cords or adapters? My pc has a wifi receiver in it if thats what its called. I was thinking maybe theres a way to use the wifi receiver to connect my controller to the pc like you would connect an iphone to an xbox or pc using airplay. Does any one know if this can be done?

I have tried this myself, but eventually i ended up getting a wired controller as that is what you need. The reason that you cannot have a wireless controller connected to the pc is that the wireless controller is like a tv remote, it communicates with an infrared receiver and transmitter, your pc on the other hand has a wireless networking card that communicates on another bandwith. In short your pc does not have the right card/ receiver:transmitter to connect to your controller.

You'll need an adapter or a controller that can adapt with the PC.
