Hey everyone. I have a slight problem. Right now I have a GTX 670 overclocked to 1 GHz with 4GB of dedicated video memory. It's a beast. Unfortunately, I have an FX 4170 tied to it. It appears to be bottle necking every game I play. I plan on upgrading but need some advice. I'm debating between an FX-8350 or an i7 3770k? Would either one still bottle neck the card? If not, which will give overall better performance? Thanks!

Thanks!I'm not an expert when it comes to AMD CPU's but that's because Intel is usually the better choice...Downgrade that i7 to an i5 because its just a waist of money...That won't bottleneck you at all

Right now I can only just afford the 8350. If I wanted to go intel, I would have to go and sell my motherboard... so basically, will the 8350 bottle neck? Thanks

TopGun960 wroteLike I said, I'm not an expert on AMD CPU's but it looks like it should be fine..Tigerdirect is having deals till sometime tomorrow if your willing to buy soon and here is a great intel i5 that is only slightly more than the 8350 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]xXopticsXx wroteTopGun960 wrote Hey everyone. No, you won't be bottlenecked with the 8350.
