TheKoolaidMan wrote Ive never LD but i have had several sleep paralysis expierences, none were intentional.
The first one happened when i slept in a spare room at my unlces, i thought i had woke up but then i couldn't move. I looked into the corner of the room and say a demon laughing and staring at me, luckily i knew it was sleep paralysis as i had read about it recently.
The 2nd time i wasnt so lucky, this time i was at a friends house.I fell asleep in the same room as my twin brother and friend. I was in a dream where i was canoeing. I happened to see my brother in my dream and all of a sudden i couldn't talk or move. I started to think i was awake and still couldnt talk or move. My brother and friend stared at me while i tried to yell to them. They said my eyes were moving around and i was twitching. It was so weird.
I wonder, when you saw the "demon" which I'm not saying you didn't but do think it's because of others stories that they have also seen demons and thats just we think happens?
I also have tried SP but right before it I just didn't feel right so I stopped. Good thing you had read up on it.

Strangle,
Its not just looking at your hands and then, boom! Not that simple. There are tons of methods to hit lucidity in a dream. Some methods are reality checks (looking at hands, flipping light switches, etc), Sleep Paralysis Method, WILD, DILD, Pre-Lucid.
There are tons of techniques on how to achieve lucidity. It takes some practice and a strong mind.
