X8 probably means 'Xbox 8' following the whole 8 scheme .

Everything will still be called the same like Xbox Live, Xbox Gamertag, stuff like that just diff. name.

Actually, I'm quite sure the "8" is an acronym for the supposed consoles full name, "Infinity". It would make more sense in that regard considering the symbol for infinity is of course stylized that way. I guess either way is probable.

That name is so much better than " xbox360 " X8 looks way cooler also!
