My kaspersky anti-virus is running out in two days and I'm wondering whether I should just go and renew it and pay for it, or whether I should get something like AVG instead?
What would you guys recommend?
Thanks!!!

Avast performs the best of the free AV softwares in the tests I've seen. +1 for Avast.

I was using AVG for 2 years before hand, using the premium key that's floating around the net, and started suffering from slow bootups etc
Removed it and put on malwarebytes + avast free and it's miles quicker, and I've not got 2 antivirus programmes. Probably isn't necessary but it makes me feel safer. My logic is that "if one doesn't find the virus, the other will".

Malwarebytes and Avast are completely different anyway. The former is meant to be run in addition to a full AV like the latter.
