I just installed gta 4 on my computer all 4 hours of the download to fully expect to just be able to dive straight into the game obviously not i made a social account login tried it said it cant log in try again and i did and nothing, i downloaded games for windows live and the game isnt even in their ive called rockstar they basically said we are technical and we cant help you sorry phone down if anyone can help me ive just BOUGHT this game i expect it to work just an easy guide to fix it please!!!

Make an account with hotmail instead and use that to log in. It's the same thing.

Hang on, I might be thinking of the wrong thing. Have you installed any patches? I think in the latest ones they get rid of social club support.
Install the patches first and if they ask for it again make one here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Umm obviously it's a yes as I just did. You asked if he paid for the game when he even capitalized it and made it stand out. Learn to read.

i cant even look at them patches its just **** up all i have is GTA 4 in my steam and i cant log in to play online ive tried two accounts both didnt work same unable to log in thing i have downloaded the patches but not from the link you gave ive tried rockstars trouble shoot for it and that didnt work the game isnt even showing in windows live games

Alright lets try this step by step.
Here is the latest patch: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Download that and run the patch (TitleUpdate.msi) and tell me if it's successful or what errors you get if any.
Bleh, run UpdateTitle.exe actually. I don't think the .msi file was meant to be run like that.

OK, so when you start up the game, what do you see? Do you see this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] bs.com/4.png (remove the space) this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or does the game load? Or is there something different?
