So i'm building a PC for gaming,

So i have the option between these to CPU's the Intel i3 3220 @3.6 GHz OR AMD FX 4170 @4.2 GHz

They are the same price and i need to pick one, That's why i'm here i need help on picking one, I don't know which one is better?

go for the i3 because its better all round with lots of different things eg. multi tasking an so on

I have the i3-3220 and I love it.
I would go with the i3.

Many people would recommend the i3 and i dont blame them, but i myself have a 4170 and it seems to work pretty well for me, but its your choice.

Yah many people recommend the i3 for programs EG..... Adobe after affects and stuff but i am mainly going to be gaming, Have u used the 4170 gaming and if so what games would you play on it if you dont mind me asking.

personally i would go with amd i have always went with amd because u get more for less money and its more stable to overclock an amd cpu or apu

Well i played games like Witcher 2, Deus ex: HR, Arma II Dayz, Skyrim, Fo3 and NV, Amnesia and diablo 3 and i did tear through them with out a problem really, but that probably has to be my card which is a 550ti.

The Intel I3 Is Clearly the better choice anyone that says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about
