-HaaZe wrote-Marvin- wrote-HaaZe wrote-Marvin- wrote I have actually had a dream where I was in a car and crashed into a lake.
The lake was very deep and I died fully,it wasn't mid-drowning (at least I don't think it was) and I woke up sweating...
You are also going to die in real-life, eventually, but the chances of your dream actually causing your death in reality is very far-fetched...
But when you died in your dream, did you wake as soon as you died, or did you experience anything after?
As soon as I died, I woke up.
But did you die from a first person perspective? or third?
It was first-person...

Hmm, i suppose someone with bad health could be killed, as you said you woke up sweating most likely from panic/fear, so someone with bad health (weak hear) could possibly be killed?

Did you know that it was a dream or did you believe that you were experiencing real-life or close to real-life?

Yes, but the dream would have to be extremely severe.
If a dream could cause that much tension, I think it would be normal if people died from dreams.
But I think that if you had bad health, I think something other than a bad dream would have a better chance of killing you...

I knew as-soon as I woke up it was just a dream.
I think I was about 7 at the time so...

But do you not think that your body could 'shut down' because the dream is so realistic that it mistakes it as reality?

I think that too. If people are able to hypnotise well then why can a dream not hypnotise you into thinking that a dream is reality. Basically meaning that your mind is creating a real-life simulation.

Exactly, when we dream it seems so real, the only reason we believe it isn't real is because when we wake up we know we just had a dream, but if there was a dream in a dream, then we woke up we could still be in a dream, and we would believe we weren't dreaming, so if it's so real why can't we die in one?
