It is real. Since it is obvious you have never gone through it the way others like myself have, then don't say it is fake without having some type of proof to back it up. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain for some. It's just days of hateful bullying for others. Either way, it's things they can't control. It's real and causes real symptoms. I've had the medication and it's very far from "just sugar." It actually made it worse and the side effects were just as bad as the depression. I think too much which is my problem (but it's not everyone's problem.)

I don't think depression is fake, many people all around the world have depression.

Are you saying that all those people aren't what they think they are?

I believe its all in ones head how they feel. Yes a person can be sad, but moping around all the time is not good. Its caused by not doing something about your sadness. I thinks its a question whether you believe in yourself or not. If you think you can't do something, your going to have a harder time accomplishing your goal. If you think you are depressed your gonna have a harder time becoming happy, causing you to be sad even more. Just a never ending mind game.

I believe it is, some people feel it different than others, example, if you lose someone close to you might feel gravely depressed while breaking up with your GF/BF might feel minor.

Depression is something everyone has, or will experience, its unavoidable, but it is a mental problem, there is way's to "fix it" per say, but there is no way of completely removing it. Its part of how the human body works, its a response.
