are you playing search,

and do you have 2 people with 2 controllers

also when you are at the custom games, load up your gamesave, and press y and join you friends session that way..

also if you mess up at the parts after you see the zero next to your name, dashboard it.

for anyone who thinks this doesnt work, i just did this glitch twice

when i first tried this, i had the same problem... you will get it eventually, just dashboard and try again...

make sure you friend is at the public match menu. with no guest account

That part is probably the hardest. You'll get it eventually.
