You can play online. The only difference between a flashed console and non-flashed is the code in the drive.
The simplest way I can put it is this:
With a normal drive lets say it can only read discs with a "0" on them. With a flashed drive it can read discs with a "1 and 0" on them.

Could M$ detect that we have played or are playing on a "1" disc?

It only depends on the game. Lets say a MW4 game is in the making. And its supposed to be released exactly 1 month from today. But the game is leaked. Then you put it on a disc and play it 1 month before you are supposed to then MS could find out. ***ONLY if you play online.
EX. Halo 4 was leaked 1 month before hand.
EX. As long as you play on an account that has never had Xbox Live and you are not connected to the internet you will be ok in playing games early.
Lets say you have an account with either Xbox Live gold or silver doesnt matter. You play MW4 before release. You are not connected to the internet and then you get an achievement. Achievements are based on times, and dates. So when you go back online MS will see that you acquired an achievement from MW4 before it came out.
SO with all that said, MS will never know that you are playing a burnt game, UNLESS its an early release game AND you are playing on a Live account.

Yes of course, but u need to know how u should use it.
And you should get the newest updates about banning waves for flashed consoles. I have a flashed console still no ban.

^ Yes correct. Keep checks on updates. Dont update your Xbox ( if flashed) to a newer dashboard unless you know you are ok, or you have reflashed after update.

A few misconceptions appearing in this post.
The main 2 things that can get u banned are laser underperformance and crap media.
If you are going to flash a console, get a new laser if its over a year old (I mean seriously, GET whoever flashes it to add it into the drive at the same time, its like 7 Sterling pound / $12 to buy ffs if they already making a profit from the flash, they shouldn't really charge, cos they want to sell you games not get u banned)
Secondly, always use ONLY singapore Verbatim discs. 003 and 005 are recommended by C4EVA and TX. You can see this code in IMGBURN so look. Don't do tesco, quickymart hapoo or any other crap. 90 pence a disc is nothing compared to a retail game.
Always restore to factory before an update is taken. (don't personally think this applies to a USB update, but better safe than sorry).
If you stick to these guidelines you will stand a much better chance of non-flagging. Playing games early is a whole different kettle of fish - I can't comment on.
I have an unbannable account therefore cannot say what I see in that area.

I have had mine flashed for a while now, and i'm not flagged. But yes verbatim discs are the ones you need to use.
