My xbox hasn't had problems in the past with game updates and system updates. Normally a game update takes like 6-8 seconds, now it takes 20 minutes.

The new xbox console update took FOREVER to download. I ended up putting the update on a CD and doing it that way.

All my other devices (iPhone, laptop, Kindle) are working extremely fast and Xbox Live is running smoothly.
I just can't get on Black ops 2 because I cant download the update.

Any suggestions?

it may be because of the amount of devices on my internet, but I'm open to suggestions

Maybe all the servers are being a bit funky. It took a while for me to download too.

There are two things that come to my mind that might be the problem:

1.) A lot of people are trying to download what you are trying to download, which will slow your download like crazy.
or
2.) Your Internet company has started throttling your bandwidth/mbps, which also would slow downloads and such.

Hope I helped

Try unplugging your router for about 2-3 minutes, plug it back in and try again.

Somethings when my connection goes shitty I do that and it works fine again.

Hope this helped..
