Now that the PS4 is officially announced, it's time for the question: Will you get it? Also, please feel free to say why you will or will not get the PS4.

Highlights of the PS4 launch:

- New touch-sensitive DS4 controller
- PS4 specs (Supercharged PC architecture, x86 CPU, 8GB memory, HDD, enhanced PC gpu)
- Able to record and watch gameplay, and livestream (Ustream) directly from your PS4
- Social network integration
- New interface (looks a lot like another interface I know about....)
- Allows for playing games while they're downloading
- No backwards compatibility with the PS3
- Coming Holiday 2013

I still don't know to be honest I really would have liked to seen the chat system like if it had the same thing as xbox live party chat as I think that would be a good thing to have on it. I know its not a very good reason but still I would like to see this on the console. I would also like to see the new xbox and steam box before making a decision

Actually reason in favor of me buying it is that they did say something about all PlayStation console games like the old ones from ps2 and 1 being able to be played on the new devices which i believe would be a good thing. That means kingdom of hearts, jak and daxter, ratchet and clank and all the games i used to love. Hopefully i didn't misinterpret them

Anyone that says hell no probably hasn't even owned a PS3 before. That's what I said a year ago when I was a huge Xbox player but after getting console banned for the 2nd time I switched to PS3 and I gotta say I really like both. They both have there ups and downs but if PS4 supports party chat just like Xbox does, I find it will rape.

and of course Steam
PSN < Xbox Live < Steam

PC is and always will be superior to any console

If somewhat of a party chat system is in it, Hell yea. But um one thing i noticed you didn't have in the OP of the specs, Correct me if i'm wrong, I probably misinterpreted it, But didn't they show all Demo's for every game that releases, Like so that if you want to buy a game but don't know how it is, You can get the demo for it & play it.

Long time xbox supporter 10 years in fact. And I have to say yes. The PS4 is amazing, its power is incredible. I will definitely buy it. I will however buy the new xbox, however I doubt it will be as powerful as the PS4.
