I am trying to get into PC gaming mainly for the reason that consoles are falling so far behind in graphics quality.

Also This would be my first build. Would liquid cooling be a good thing to integrate into the system now, later, or at all?
My main goal is to build an affordable computer that can run Crysis 2 on Ultra, Crysis 3 above normal, etc.

You don't need the i7 for gaming. Go with the i5 3570. You'll get the same performance and have more money towards a better graphics card. Go with the GTX 660 Ti.

1. Overpriced case.
2. Overglorified/overpriced RAM
3. Discontinued mobo.
4. i7 with (basically) the same specs as an i5 that is $60 cheaper
My advice:
Get a cheap case. (Cooler Master HAF 912 has a good price and good features.)
Get a cheaper motherboard. (AsRock Extreme4 is decent.)
Get the i5 instead of the i7.
With the money you saved, buy yourself a 7970.
