You'll have to make a backup and restore, update to latest iOS, and re-jailbreak. There are a few backup apps so you won't have to re-download all your tweaks and apps called PKGBackup AND OpenBackup.

Well, if you want the latest, then yes. I stayed on iOS 5 the whole time that there wasn't an untethered jailbreak and I was fine. Depends what you think.

Well I mean is new jb just as good as the old one.. Since no installous and I heard cydia doesn't work

That's old news. Cydia has been up and running at 100% for weeks now. And you can always use VShare (Installous alternate which is better IMO). The jailbreak is no different, the new OS however, is. Some tweaks are only compatible with the newer iOS.
