I got mine to work because I installed the XboxSDK. I think it gives some tools for visual studio 2010 for xbox stuff. But it only works for 2010 because no other updated version of sdk has been released.
Knowing Craig, You won't be able to open it up, He likes to encrypt things.
I don't mean to bust in on your encryption/decryption fun here, but you can't just access the source code to a dll unless you have it. You can decompile it in IDA as an xex or view it in HxD if you are really feeling it

i see now. an idc is a file that i can use and edit in visual studio! i just made an idc from xextoolgui.
