Hi,
just bought the samsung 840 pro ssd, trying to optimize my booting times - ive removed the splash screen from my motherboard(MSI) but it comes up with a black information screen telling me whats connected to my computer / how to access bios etc. Is there anyway I can remove this so the first action when I press the power is loading windows 7 or does there have to be input from the motherboard first. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks Greig

Search around in the BIOS for more options. That's where it would be. If you want to slim the boot process down even more, check the "No GUI Boot" box in msconfig.

You should also disable startup items you don't need in msconfig under the startup tab.
