Answer is 4.

It depends which laws of maths you follow. Technically, if you do the multiplication first, it is 4...

If you use the BIDMAS method you get 4
If you use your head you get 0.

What is BODMAS?

In grade school, I learned PEMDAS for Order of Operations.

The x is only intended as a multiplication sign, I assumed if I put an * to signify the multiplication some people may not understand what it is :S
