I've almost got hit by at least 10 speeding cars.
One time I wasnt paying attention on my bike and a car got hit by me. Unfortunately I broke the poor car's left tail light. Other than that, it was fine.

Another occasion I remember from when I was no older than four years old. My family was swimming in our pool. I didn't know how to swim at the time so I wore "floaties" (don't know the actual name). When we all got out, my oldest sister (about 10 at the time) wanted to go back in. She made that very clear. I shouted "Yeah!" And jumped in without my floaties on. Mid air I said to myself, "whoops". I remember looking, and just slowly sinking. Right before hitting the bottom, my sister pulled me back up.

Sith wrote When I was 10 and still living in N.Ireland I had a gun held to my head.
Luckily I was young and the IRA didn't have that much power then, it was just a copy cat group of teenagers so the 'leader' said to leave me or they would have all been hunted down and gutted by the police.

That's what you get for being Protestant in Armagh though...

:coffee:

"Hunted and gutted" A bit over the top.
Why are you saying, "That's what you get for being Protestant in Armagh though..."
As if everyone should kneel down and feel sorry for you?
Prodestants came into my country and stole our land.

I'm not sectarian and never have been. we are both atheists from what I understand.
But look at why catholics were/are frustrated.

Haha, what?
I was 10, forced into a religion I grew up with.
I am not asking for people to kneel down and feel sorry for me in any way.
You could say that about anyone commenting in this thread.

My remark about being a Protestant in Armagh was contextual and only applied at the time I was a protestant in Armagh which I am not any more.
"Hunted and Gutted" is an analogy used to describe how child killers are apprehended and what happens to their lives afterwards.
Not to be used as a literal description.
I didn't invoke anything to do with why this happened to me apart from the fact that I was a protestant at the time, there is violence on both sides, I didn't say anything to do with one side being right or wrong.

Why the hostility?

The way you worded it, was in the context of you falling
victim of vicious cruel catholics. I had to let everyone else know
that it's not the case that as a group they weren't just thugs.

"That's what you get for being Protestant in Armagh though..."
^This quote in specific! Also we never had any power. We are a small country
with a small army and no heavy artillery, when the british soldiers were going
in with assault rifles we had make-shift weapons to defend ourselfs with.
Which is why they met their match when it came to attempting taking over America.
Prodestants were the first to provoke us.

I don't like how your putting across your points.
I was raised a catholic that's why I'm being defensive, not hostile.

Ah OK, I see.

I didn't mean to offend.
Would you like me to take the last point out?

Probably the most civil religious argument I have ever seen on the internet...
