This is very interesting! Ive thought around this briefly after beating mass effect 3 lol.

i dont understand why people are giving him hate. he is just saying that once are race dies everything about our lifes will be worthless.

I'm glad to see after a couple of days people are starting to understand this post more and have mostly stopped giving me grief.

Also, it's very interesting to hear how many people posting here have also thought of similar things. This, in my opinion, is pretty deep and not something many people would ever think of. Cheers to like minded people.

In all honesty, I couldn't care less about my family line. I care about my family, but my family line is just a name to me. I also never want children, so I'm not sure how much more damage I could do to my family line if I don't help continue it. Not sure why it would damage it if I don't care anyway. How I feel about the survival of our species as a whole is totally different than how I see my own family and friends. If there are situations where I could help save my family and friends, I would do it. If there was a way that I could even save strangers, I would do it. If you tell me that the world will be wiped out one day, I will feel bad about the people and animals of the planet in the moment of it all ending, but I don't really care. Things die. People die. Them all dying at once is pretty crazy and sad, but they were all going to die anyway. Whether we continue to strive or not as a species, I don't care.

I, like Yin, don't want children.
At least not any time soon, and there is no guarantee they would want children either.

The generation before us lived without any thought put towards our generation, I think it's fair that we be allowed to do the same.
