Well obviously your in 4th grade. I am in 10th grade and really once you hit high school youll hear "So and so is having a baby" or "Bro i just had S*x and it felt so good" sorry for those words, but thats what i hear in school alot.

this is just a sample statement. In EVERY class you take youll hear kids say stupid crap like this.

Trust me in NO world do I enjoy reading. But Im not "READING SUCKS." we have to do it. Everything we do in school builds a foundation for the future, and when you finally do discover what you want to do itll be useful. Sure were never gonna have to know who the 27th president was, but they have to teach you something.

I dont know where Im going with this, I just hate when people whine about crap like this in school.

The way to look at it is like this. you are not exactly reading the book to know what its about. you are reading the book so that you learn to be able to take BITS of information from what you read and then use that. Reading is a very good way for your brain to store information, watching a video on something generaly isnt because you dont pay as much attention. The reason you are taught things for example Shakespeare isnt because there will be real world applications for you to use it in its to show that you have the capability to read something and understand what it means via information retrieval.

So to re iterate what i said at the start its not so much of WHAT your reading its being able to read it and take bits of info from it and then make your own correct interpretation of the information you have taken.
