It used to be worth it but because of the economy you have a higher chance in losing money.
That's why I'm going to look for a college to attend with a course that has a high chance of me getting hired.

Prices for colleges/universities are increasing almost everywhere, not just the US.

I don't think having divorced parents automatically makes you qualify...
My families income yearly is incredibly under average, and I would have a hard time qualifying with divorced parents.

You're right but when seeking government aid and having divorced parents one of which being unemployed your chances are increased heavily.

You pay 80,000$ now, but you with the education could make that back as a simple starting salary depending on your profession. (Me and my brother are accountants the starting salary is around 75,000$ fresh out of college) so there is a big chance to make it back. Also, you don't have to pay it back right away.
