They never even taught me at my school. I taught myself how to write cursive.

Whenever I write notes I write in cursive and then people start asking why I'm writing in cursive. They say it takes a long time and it's too hard.

I write normal and un-joined, but I can also write cursive. It just looks a little nasty when I attempt to.

Three reasons:

1) Writing normally looks neater
2) Writing normally can be faster in some cases
3) Most people, myself included, are too lazy to actually learn and write in cursive.

My opinion is that cursive is a waste of time, thankfully, I only learned it in the first few years of school.

the only thing cursive is used for is when you take the SATs you have to rewrite a paragraph that they give you in cursive

Cursive writing is pretty much dead, the only thing anyone wants you to learn cursive for is to sign your name to lessen the chance of identity theft.
