History DOES repeat itself, and using the knowledge of past events, we can alter our future. History has been used to fix many past problems and issues in the world, for future success. Trial and error is history, trial and error makes things happen.

Do you not agree that one history class per year is a bit of overkill? If "future success" is what you are looking for through the past, lets look at how the most successful country in the world got there. What I learn from this is that if you go to war enough times, and enslave enough people, you will be successful. Its whatever though i guess everyone just thinks differently.

No I don't agree haha, and in history you look at all the success every population has had and the failures, so you know where to go in your own life, with your own population. A history class a year keeps the subject alive in the mind. Chances are, if you only had one history class, you'll soon forget you even took it, and won't learn a thing. History is important, if you would've read my whole paper, you might have a change of mind.

I dont know man i have quite the memory. what other subjects do you enjoy? I am a math and science guy. I dont enjoy school much, because I would rather learn from a book than a teacher. I am all about efficiency, and when you have to sit and listen to someone talk about something you already know, or could figure out in 10 seconds of looking at a textbook, its such a waste to me. I guess its just how I think..Do you like english class too?

history is one of my favorite subjects because it is so interesting especially when talking about the ancient civilizations

I think History is important, but how can we know for sure what the schools are teaching is what really happened?

I adore reading about history, even though it really is not in my job description or i need it, i just love reading about old tales/wars/fights or anything for that matter years ago, its just fascinating how things went down compared to today's battles or events.

This is exactly how I feel, I just make such a strong connection to the subject in general, I can imagine myself in the time and at the place.
