Its just i dont wanna waste 300+ on a TV that i wont use because of lag
Fixed it all together for me, also make sure on your Xbox 360 dashboard. You need to change your setting to HDMI 1080p.

Yeah that was the same with my tv. If I don't use an HDMI then I have some serious tv lag.

I myself did not use a HDMI Cable but HDMI Component Cables (To use turtle beaches) but here are some things to look into.

I get mine from newegg.com for $3 and I saw some in stores for $40. My cable works just fine and definitely decreased lag.

its usually not the tv that's the problem its the cords your using try and get a better HDMI cord first

There are ways to fix this. You can change the display settings in the settings and try reducing the size or increasing, whatever is best to you.

You get 1-2 seconds of lag from input to output from the controller? I don't think the TV is your problem...
